Did you know that you can vote in the November 4th election BEFORE election day without having to provide a reason? The average day for the earliest measurable snowfall in Chicago is October 30th! Why not beat the weather and vote early, before the weather hits?
Beginning October 13, 2008 and up through October 30, 2008 you can cast your early vote at one of several voting sites in Cook County. Sites include the Schaumburg Public Library, the Village Halls of Hoffman Estates, Streamwood, Palatine and Barrington Township, the Rolling Meadows Courthouse and 38 other locations throughout Cook County. All locations are open Monday through Saturday and some are even open Sunday. You can vote at any of these sites, not just the one closest to your residence. All that is required is a Government issued photo ID.
You can avoid the November 4th lines (and possibly bad weather too) by voting on your way to work, while shopping or on your lunch break. For more information about locations and hours, please click here to visit the Cook County Election Department's website.
